Copernicus is a registered student society, that offers every semester about 10 fellowships to undergraduate German speaking students from Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the fields of law sciences, economic sciences and social sciences.
The students within the fellowship programme will attend lessons at the universities of Munich, Hamburg or Berlin for one summer or winter semester. After the lectures season, the fellows will attend an internship in a German company for two months.
Fellowship:
The fellowship includes accommodation and a monthly grant for the living costs and also covers the costs for medical insurance and travel expenses.
Application procedure:
All interested applicants need to submit following documents:
1. motivation for participation (a one-to two-page)
2. the completed Copernicus data
3. a CV with photo
4. a copy and translation of the book of the home university study
5. a copy and translation of the secondary school leaving certificate
6. a personal, hand-written introducing himself to his future host family
7. a description of the social commitment or motivation (e.g volunteerism in social or political field, commitment to environmental, religious commitment, etc.)
8. a presentation on how and where the applicant gained German skills including certificates, diplomas
Amount of the scholarship:
COPERNICUS pay for the period of the fellowship of the fellows the necessary cost of living, ie the costs for accommodation, meals, health insurance, enrollment and public transport.It is also paid a monthly allowance (currently around 180 EUR). Also funded COPERNICUS takes the cheapest and departure and applicable visa fees.
