Scholarship in Australia.

Job Description: Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia (MSRA) is offering postgraduate scholarships for full time study for a higher degree (PhD or Masters by Research) in an Australian university or institution. Stipend is based on NHMRC medical or biomedical graduate rate. Applicants must be Australian citizens or who have been granted permanent residence status and have lived in Australia continuously for 12 months before submitting the application.

Eligibility
The scholarship cannot commence until 2011. If you have already commenced your degree, your
enrolment prior to 2011 will reduce the tenure of the scholarship. For example: if you would
have already completed 1 full?time semester of your PhD by the start of 2011 you could only be
awarded this scholarship for up to 2.5 years.
Please note that the University of Sydney will only allow a student to hold a scholarship whilst
enrolled part?time if they (a) have a medical condition which prevents full?time enrolment, or (b)
have heavy carer commitments which prevent full?time enrolment.
Applicants must be Australian citizens and permanent residents or New Zealand citizens holding
a Special Category Visa. Persons who have not yet been granted Australian permanent residency
or a Special Category Visa may apply, however permanent residency or the Special Category Visa
must be obtained prior to commencement of the scholarship.
